A new campaign has launched across south east London to raise awareness of the advice and treatment residents can get from their pharmacy.
Starting with a question about symptoms, such as: “Burning or stinging when you wee? Need to wee all the time?” It then directs people to their local pharmacy, where they can get immediate advice and treatment without needing to see a GP first.
The aim is to highlight the full offer from pharmacies including being able to give expert advice, and if needed, prescription medicine for:
Pharmacists can also suggest treatments that do not need a prescription for a range of conditions including hay fever.
Some pharmacies can also offer the contraceptive pill for free without a prescription, as well as free blood pressure checks for over 40s.
Look out for ads online, on social media, on Spotify, as well as out posters out and about in your pharmacy and GP practice.
