A community led panel will decide how best to use £95,000 from Partnership Southwark and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) to support community groups to tackle health inequalities in Southwark’s Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities.

Made up of representatives of Black, Asian, minority ethnic and Latin American organisations in the borough this pioneering panel has come together to develop and co-design a unique funding programme using their collective expertise.

The new fund is aimed at supporting the distinct needs of their communities and marks a shift in the way decisions on community funding are made in the borough.

The fund launches on 10 January 2024 and the closing date is Wednesday 28 February 2024, midnight.
