We’re excited to launch RISE (Reflect, Inspire, Support & Empower) – a new, CPD-certified system line management development programme which has been designed to help managers working in health and social care build confidence, navigate challenges and support their teams more effectively.

RISE isn’t just another e-learning course, but a dynamic and interactive development journey, giving participants the flexibility to choose any of the eight modules that matter most to them, with no obligation to complete them all.

Modules include:

Research shows that well-supported managers lead to improved staff retention, engagement and wellbeing, ultimately driving better outcomes for teams and organisations. It is hoped that investing in line managers’ development in this way, and encouraging co-production and a more collaborative approach, will prompt a culture shift towards a shared-style of learning across the diverse range of health and care organisations here in SE London.

Delivery Lead, Roxana Seifer, SEL ICS People Programme said: “Being a manager can sometimes feel isolating, but it doesn’t have to be. This programme has been designed as a peer-led learning experience; providing space for managers to come together, share real-world challenges and build lasting support networks.

“RISE isn’t just about developing skills, but aims to build a community of managers. This enables them to reflect and learn how to lead with confidence from one another, in a way that feels real and relevant.
“We know when line-managers feel supported, teams thrive, retention improves and we create a more connected workplace. So, we hope managers will join us in helping to shape a culture of collaboration, shared learning and collective growth.”

Masterclasses & Celebration Hackathon
To help bring the learning to life, RISE is accompanied by a series of masterclasses. Unlike traditional training, the masterclasses are co-designed and co-produced by the managers they support. Users insights and experiences help shape the content, making learning relevant, practical and immediately applicable.

The interactive sessions are designed to make learning real through work-based application of tools and techniques. Managers can also celebrate their success in a final hackathon, to capture the impact, share insights and help embed sustainable change.
