SEL ICB is committed to ensuring that our service planning and funding processes are underpinned by equality and human rights principles. This means that as we develop and make decisions about services, we are assessing plans to ensure they meet duties under the Equality Act 2010 and the FREDA principles of: fairness, respect, equality, dignity and autonomy.
The annual ICB Joint Forward Plan is an important plan describing our approach to service planning across south east London. This is themed by a range of different groups and provides more detail on the population we serve.
NHS South East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB) uses an Equality Analysis (EA) Toolkit to impact assess policies, business cases, strategies and decisions to ensure the ICB strongly focuses on improving access, experience and outcomes for all, particularly those from minoritised groups.

A new equality impact assessment toolkit is being launched soon across the ICB to help us embed ‘equalities thinking’ across all ICB projects and programmes.
SEL ICB has undertaken a number of initiatives to ensure we hear and listen to the voices of all those we plan and fund services for.
