Free wellbeing sessions for primary and social care staff

We are delighted to offer the following wellbeing sessions for colleagues working in primary and social care:

1. Weight Management Programme: “Eat Well, Be Well”

In collaboration with the GSTT Nutrition and Dietetics team, we’re thrilled to offer Eat Well, Be Well, a 12-week virtual programme designed to support you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle. The programme includes weekly group sessions that focus on:

  • Label reading: Making healthier choices
  • Portion control: Developing better eating habits
  • Physical activity tips: Getting you moving

    Additional Benefits:
    After completing the programme, you’ll have access to ongoing support to help you maintain your progress.

Details:

  • Date: Register from 8 April 2025
    Cohort 1: May – July
    Cohort 2: Sept – Nov
  • Spaces: Limited to 50 participants (2 cohorts, max. 25 per group)
  • Self-Referral: Complete a Self-Referral Form and reserve your spot.

Physiotherapy Support

This support is divided into three key components:

* Reactive 1:1 Physiotherapy

  • Bespoke assessments and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, including rehabilitation, provided at St Thomas’ Hospital. Interested colleagues should please contact umemezie@gstt.nhs.uk for the referral form.

* Preventative Physiotherapy

  • Monthly workshops and seminars on a variety of tailored topics, delivered remotely, aimed at providing preventative interventions to educate staff and reduce musculoskeletal-related time off work:
    • April workshop (Common MSK complaints) on 15th April at 12:30 -13:30 Sign up here
  • Customised opportunities are also available, allowing teams to request bespoke workshops as part of team events or away days. Please contact PrivatePhysiotherapy@gstt.nhs.uk to arrange a bespoke session for your team

* Weekly Physiotherapy-Led Classes
Weekly sessions alternating between Pilates and Back Care classes, designed to enhance strength, flexibility, and overall wellbeing. These classes are led by certified physiotherapists:


4. Financial wellbeing Training: Mind Your Money

  • Wednesday, 30 April, 2025 by 11:00 -12:00This interactive session explores the importance of building financial resilience and the link between money and mental wellbeing. Topics to cover include cost of living crisis, reviewing finances and reframing how you think about money. sign up here to attend
