With colder months approaching, NHS South East London is urging all eligible residents to book their free flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. These vaccines will reduce the risk of serious illness from these viruses

Why get vaccinated?  Even if you’ve been vaccinated before or had one of these viruses, your protection fades over time and new strains can emerge. Now is the time to boost your immunity and protect yourself and your community.

Who should book? The following groups are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated:

  • People aged 65 and over
  • Those aged 6 months and over who are at increased clinical risk, including those with certain long-term conditions
  • Pregnant women
  • Older adult care home residents
  • Frontline health and care workers

Other eligible groups, such as unpaid carers, household contacts of people with weakened immune systems, and most children aged 2-17, are also encouraged to get the flu vaccine.

How to book: With many locations including vaccination centres, pharmacies, and GP surgeries offering vaccinations across south east London, it’s really easy to schedule your appointment.
