There is even greater focus on improving access to mental health support whilst ensuring care is integrated within local communities. Tailored towards the service user’s individual needs health and care providers are working together to make this happen.
Additional funding will increase the number of staff providing mental health support in the community. They will work differently to provide care across traditional organisational and professional boundaries. This integrated way of working together aims to bridge the gap between primary care and specialist mental health providers.
