Leaders
The important message is you do not need any formal qualifications to start your journey and you do not need any experience.
What we are looking for are individuals with the values outlined and who have a passion for working in community mental health services across London. The skills framework is to help you navigate your journey – we do not expect you to have all the skills immediately.
As an existing member of the team you may be at the start of your role, or very familiar with it and our services. The framework contains a wealth of information which you may find helpful to talk to your manager about, help with your performance appraisal and provide you with information on how you can support your personal and career development.
As service line managers, team leaders, supervisors and HR teams or trainers, the framework sets out some skills for our support workforce which we hope will set a standard across London for those working in community mental health services. The framework may help you to attract, interview, appoint and develop your workforce.
As leaders the framework provides a range of high quality information to help you guide and steer service development. The implementation guide explains how you can use the framework to:
Attract people from diverse backgrounds to careers in health and social care
Retain and develop our existing workforce
Guides managers and organisations in supporting people working in these roles
Support our staff to provide the best care and tackle health inequalities for our service users
