A new Health & Wellbeing Centre is now open in Bromley.

A new Health and Wellbeing Centre has now opened in Bromley, offering health and wellbeing services in the heart of the town centre.  It houses the new Dysart GP Surgery and the One Bromley Wellbeing Hub that was previously located at The Glades.

A wide range of health and lifestyle support is offered at the new centre by a range of health, care and voluntary organisations working in partnership with Mytime Active.  Services include Vital 5 checks, blood pressure, smoking cessation, healthy eating and weight management, enhanced sickle cell community care and citizens advice.

Where and when to find us:

The centre is open Monday to Friday between 8am to 8pm and Saturday between 9am-1pm.

The centre is a short walk from Bromley South train station and easily accessible by both train and bus. The relocated Wellbeing Hub services can be found in the Outpatient Area on the first floor.

Vital 5 Health Checks

Improve your health and wellbeing at the Bromley Health and Wellbeing Centre

To help Bromley residents improve their health and wellbeing,  more services are on offer at the Bromley Health and Wellbeing Centre.  These services focus on reducing the five leading causes of poor health in our communities which can lead to long-term conditions developing.  We call these the ‘Vital 5’.

High blood pressure, Obesity, Smoking, Common mental health conditions and Alcohol

Examples of what will be on offer include, health and lifestyle assessments (checking your blood pressure, pulse, height and weight); advice and guidance including signposting to local services that can help you and one to one support to encourage and support lifestyle changes.

The Vital 5 service is open to all aged 18 years and over (excluding pregnant women) and is offered as walk in and booked appointments. To book please email your name and phone  number to bromleywellbeing@mytimeactive.co.uk, titled ‘Vital 5’ and someone will call you to arrange an appointment.

Appointments are available at the Bromley Health and Wellbeing Centre and The Pavilion, Kentish Way, Bromley BR1 3EF.

Lifestyle Medicine

The Lifestyle Medicine service helps you take control of your health and wellbeing, through small, meaningful behaviour change. You will be supported by coaches in one-to-one and group sessions over 12 weeks, to try and reach your goals.

SmokeFree Bromley – local stop smoking service

A free local service for people of any age living in Bromley who want to stop smoking. The offer includes:

  • One-to-one support for up to 12 weeks with a trained advisor
  • Free stop smoking aids, such as nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) and/or starter kits for vaping (adults only)
  • Support by phone, in person, or online video
  • Local drop-in clinics, including the Bromley Health and Wellbeing Centre on Thursdays, 10am-5pm

Pregnancy and Postnatal Care - PRUH Maternity Team

Speak to a member of the team to find out more about RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), whooping cough and flu vaccinations, or visit the Smoking Cessation Clinic to get support and advice about stopping smoking. The sessions will be held every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:

  • Smoking Cessation Advice – Tuesday 9am-5pm
  • RSV, whooping cough and flu vaccinations – Thursday 9am-5pm – walk in or appointment booked via your midwife
  • Antenatal classes – Friday 9am-5pm

Bromley Well Health and Wellbeing Services

Bromley Well Advisers will be at the Bromley Health and Wellbeing Centre every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10.45am to 3.30pm.

Offering a range of health and wellbeing support including help to access all the services available from Bromley Well and our partner charities –  support for unpaid carers, disabilities, long term health conditions, befriending, employment and volunteering and more.

In addition one of our team will be there to provide initial advice on:-

  • debts
  • benefits
  • housing
  • relationships
  • cost of living
  • employment issues

No booking necessary – just drop in. Service for Bromley residents only.

Sexual Health - C-Card Site

The Bromley Health and Wellbeing Centre is a C-Card site

The c-card scheme is aimed at young people between 13-24 years old who can register to get a range of free condoms, information and advice.

The aim of the service is to promote reproductive and sexual health and help young people to access local services.
